Ali & J.T. got married | Unveiling a few favorites
We were so excited for Ali & J.T.’s wedding! We loved photographing their engagement around Chicago last Fall and had such a great time with them. Finally a beautiful Saturday with summer temperatures. The perfect day for their wedding!
The guys got ready at the Blue Chip Casino and the girls at Sand Creek Country Club. The guys were in a good mood, ready to have fun all day. J.T. was relaxed and excited to marry the Love of his life.
Meanwhile the girls had fun sipping mimosas, wearing their cute silk robes anticipating the day! Their hair and make-up was phenomenal, each girl looked stunning. Ali took our breath away, so elegant and looking like a movie star. Her beaded gown and super long veil were a show stopper.
The Florals were out of this world! Charlyn’s Florals did an amazing job making everything customized to the bride’s taste. The floral chandelier was so unique and a first for us.
The ceremony took place at The Chapel of the Resurrection. “It is the centerpiece structure on the campus of Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. It has been described as the largest collegiate chapel in the United States and the second largest collegiate chapel in the world.”
We love this Chapel, the gorgeous stained glass and the open space. It was the perfect venue to tie the knot. The ceremony was emotional and even the wedding photographers get teary eyed when the groom sheds a tear when he first sees his bride walking down the aisle. J.T. shared with us that his favorite memory was seeing Ali walk down the aisle …
After the ceremony the party bus took the bridal party back to Sand Creek and we had a blast shooting with this super fun group. With such a large bridal party it always gets a bit hectic since we are trying to stay on the time line but we always wish we had more time . . . especially with the bride and groom. But everyone was there to have a good time and we got some awesome shots.
We went on the Golf Course by the beautiful willow tree and captured some romantic shots of the Newly Weds.
Jamie and I could’ve played with that veil all day! It’s very hard to just choose a few favorites when every single picture of J.T. and Ali looks beautiful.
We’ve shot many weddings at Sand Creek and it’s one of our favorite locations. The set up was stunning, bright and airy and the flowers made it smell amazing. A lot of work and labors of love went into making this day as special as possible for J.T. and Ali. In the end it couldn’t have been more perfect!
The Company Band was unbelievably energetic. Everybody was dancing all night and bringing down the house! I might add some fun dancing shots at a later point. It was super hard to post just a few highlights. We took thousands of images and going through them takes days…if not weeks!
J.T. and Ali thank you for trusting us with your most important day. We are so happy that you have found your FOREVER in each other. You two couldn’t be more perfect for each other in each and every way.
